It’s been a big year for the Oregon Coast — especially when it comes to accessibility.
Earlier this month, Oregon announced that it is the first accessibility-verified state with Wheel the World. The Oregon Coast helped lead that charge, alongside a growing list of initiatives like accessible experiences, EnChroma color-blind viewing glasses, and Mobi-Mats in five new coastal locations.
With so much progress underway, it was only fitting that the 2025 TravelAbility Summit was held right here in Oregon at Sunriver Resort. At the event, our team connected with partners from across the state who are championing accessibility in their own communities.

During a week of learning and collaboration, the Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) was honored to receive the TravelAbility Film Festival Award for the Accessible Oregon Coast film series — created in partnership with GLP Films and coastal organizations advancing inclusive travel experiences.
Earlier this year, we hit the road for a statewide film tour to premiere the series and celebrate the coastal communities, tourism partners, and accessibility advocates working together to make the Oregon Coast more inclusive for everyone.
We are deeply grateful to be recognized with this award — and even more grateful for the leadership and dedication of our partners who make this work possible.
